I hate it when Sarah is proved right.

Soooo.....I do not have a classy, tasteful bone in my body. When they were handing out Good Taste & Manners, I elbowed my way to the front of the queue then decided a big fat no and went for an extra helping of Extra instead. I love nail polish, but I only have two categories; full-on in yer face bombastic fabulousness or nudey bleh.

Then I was gifted a bottle of this cosy little number by a lovely someone with boundless optimism and not a little stubborn-ness (that's not a word, is it?) and after thanking the lovely someone - Mummy says I have to try and be nice. I accorded it nudey bleh status and there the story should have ended, with nothing but a slightly thicker layer of dust collecting on the bottle each year. Unless......

....cccrrrrrrr---aaaa---ck AAAAAAARRRRGHHHHHHH (we'll draw a veil over the horrible sounds of the catastrophe. Sob.) But silver linings n all that; when I've suffered The Catastrophe and by necessity file all my claws down, part of my therapeutic regime is trying colours I don't usually use. Enter the nudey bleh...

And it's gorgeous. Just like Sarah sez, it does that magic nail-lengthening thing but it's deffo not just a nudey bleh. The colourplay of the holo mix over the warm base is intriguing, especially at night under household lights where it absolutely glows - I'm a holo fanatic and I know the effects of it are markedly different dependent upon the base colour, but I'd not expected such a strong multi-dimensional effect that really draws you in. And it's triggered hundreds of combo ideas all outside my usual groove; this polish just screams "accent" against a huge range of other colours, from warm reds to unusual combos such as green.

I'm not telling the witch she was right tho. I'll get emails with "nudey bleh" followed by lots of smug emojis in the title line forever.
